Visit the site of the famous Battle of Hastings, fought between Harold the Saxon King and William the Conqueror in 1066. The beautiful town of Battle is formed around the Abbey of St Martin which was built by William the Conqueror on the site of the battle. Spend some time exploring the town and Abbey at your leisure. 


PLEASE NOTE ENTRANCE INTO BATTLE ABBEY IS NOT INCLUDED AND WILL NEED TO BE PURCHSED INDIVIDUALLY ON THE DAY.


We depart around lunch for the short journey to Hastings. One of Sussex’s favourite and oldest seaside towns where the remains of William the Conqueror’s first English Castle still stands today.
