Explore at your leisure the beautiful Isla, along with a visit to Santillana del Mar, a village on the World Heritage List best described as a living museum, and an afternoon stop in Comillas, the ‘City of Archbishops’. Travel to the traditional fishing village of Castro Urdiales that is a popular retreat for Basque aristocracy and see the Santa Maria Church and Castle.
Travel
Your comfort is our priority and all travel arrangements have been made with this in mind. Comfort stops will always be planned en route for lunch/refreshments. We will arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon, where your luggage will be taken to your room (unless otherwise specified) and you will have plenty of time to freshen up before the evening meal. Return travel will follow a similar schedule.
Your Hotel: Hotel Olimpo, Isla
Hotel Olimpo is a symbol of the Cantabrian coast. It is located in the coastal village of Isla in a stunning area of breath-taking beauty: it is probably the most beautiful place in northern Spain. The village is situated on the shores of the beach, offering direct and private access to the coves of Suances and La Barrosa, as well as the Quejo River. At Hotel Olimpo, all bedrooms have a balcony and a view of either the beach or the gardens.

Excursions
All of our excursions are included in the holiday price unless otherwise specified. In addition to the planned activities, most excursions will allow plenty of free time for you to explore our well-chosen destinations. If you prefer to make other arrangements or just relax at the hotel instead of any of the excursions, you are welcome to do so. If so, we kindly ask you to please inform your driver. We will depart after breakfast and return in the late afternoon or early evening, to enable you to freshen up before your evening meal.
