Get over those winter blues with a break to the beautiful Isle of Wight. Famous sights such as The Needles, several castles and stately homes have drawn visitors from all over the world. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert established a favourite residence at Osborne House in East Cowes, which we enjoy as one of our included excursions. Charles Dickens and Lewis Carroll are just two of the literary and artistic greats who were inspired by this ‘enchanted isle’.
Travel
Your comfort is our priority and all travel arrangements have been made with this in mind. Comfort stops will always be planned en route for lunch/refreshments. We will arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon, where your luggage will be taken to your room (unless otherwise specified) and you will have plenty of time to freshen up before the evening meal. Return travel will follow a similar schedule.

In 3 acres of mature gardens, this beautiful Victorian country house built in the 1860’s offers stunning views over Sandown and Shanklin Bay. Bourne Hall Country Hotel has 2 swimming pools and a spa bath. Each en-suite room has Freeview TV and tea/coffee making facilities as well as free Wi-Fi.

Excursions
All of our excursions are included in the holiday price unless otherwise specified. In addition to the planned activities, most excursions will allow plenty of free time for you to explore our well-chosen destinations. If you prefer to make other arrangements or just relax at the hotel instead of any of the excursions, you are welcome to do so. If so, we kindly ask you to please inform your driver. We will depart after breakfast and return in the late afternoon or early evening, to enable you to freshen up before your evening meal.
