Lille & Ghent Christmas Market
Explore the French town of Lille in the morning and their famous Christmas Market. After lunch we head to Ghent, with its lovely cobbled streets and winding canals. The Christmas Market of Ghent extends from St Baafsplein to the Grote Market and features over 40 international stallholders offering typical regional products and original gifts. The city centre becomes a winter wonderland with an ice-skating rink under the City Pavilion and a giant Ferris Wheel. The Medieval Castle of the Counts will be surrounded by festively decorated tables, Christmas music and warm delicacies to enjoy.
Bruges
One of the most beautiful towns in Europe, Bruges is often described as the ‘Venice of the North’. The Grote Market in Bruges and tree-lined Simon Stevinplein are adorned with a fairy-tale scene of pretty wooden chalets selling original gifts. A short walk away in the picturesque Grote Market, the chalets are arranged around a sparkling ice rink overlooked by the medieval belfry.
