Holiday, Short Breaks and Day Breaks Terms and Conditions

When you book a holiday or Short Break with Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd, you must supply the following information at the time of booking: Name(s), full postal address and telephone number.

Any special request such as low floor rooms, dietary request etc, will need to be informed at time of booking. We must stress, although every effort will be made to fulfil the request, we cannot guarantee that they will be met.

Wheelchairs and walking aids on coaches

Due to limited space and weight motorised scooters will only be accepted if they fold and or dismantle. We are limited to how many we can take, Wheel chairs and walking aids must be able to fold flat.

Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd, have the right to limit and refuse on passenger numbers carried against capacity available. These items must be advised of at time of booking. Failure to do so could result in the wheelchair/frame being refused carriage, or an extra payment being made by the client to cover costs for extra transport being provided. Customers who require the travel of such items are requested to book for the trip in advance as early as possible.

Overnight Hotel stops

Although every care is taken, occasionally we have to change our overnight hotel destination due to unforeseen circumstances. Every effort will be made to ensure the changed hotel will be of very similar standard. Overnight bags separate from the main luggage are required. Coach with the main hold luggage, the locker will be locked.

Crossing transportation into Europe

Our preferred method of transportation is Eurotunnel. In the event of circumstances beyond our control, it may be necessary to alter our preferred method of crossing the English Channel. Every effort will be made to contact individuals travelling in advance. Should you feel the need to cancel, our scale of cancellation charges will apply.

Financial protection

To comply with EC regulations, Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd have a financial failure insurance in place, so in the unlikely event that Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd cease trading, all clients will be refunded, and, or repatriation if required, so you can book your holiday with complete peace of mind. This will show on your booking documentation. Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd is a bonded company.

Terms and conditions of your booking with us

When making a booking with Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd, on any holiday, or any monies due, you and all other persons paid for, agree to Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd terms and conditions. A deposit of £50 per person on the booking is required, payable at time of booking by means of card, cash of cheques. Cheques must be received no later than 7 days from booking. If you have your own insurance, or wish to travel without any, you will be asked to complete a disclaimer form. Balances are due 6 weeks before departure date. We do not contact you for the balance. All balanced due will be on your confirmations. Day Breaks payment will be required at time of booking. If you cancel your Day Break booking for whatever reason full payment is retained with no refund. If the cancellation is a result of ill health etc, then a discretionary decision is made by management of Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd.

Your Tour itinerary

weather conditions or events at the tour location may hinder your excursion, your itinerary may be slightly changed by the office or your driver on the day, no refunds will be given unless included “pre-paid” events are part of the itinerary that are cancelled. If you do not wish to take part in any or all of the itineraries included in the tour, no refunds will be given. Please note that our brochure and details on our website is published many months before commencement of your holiday. Therefore, itineraries are designed a guide and only confirmed nearer the time. Excursions, days and dates may alter without notice. Our customers will always be kept informed.

Alterations if we cancel your holiday/ Tour

Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd, It is required that we operate the tour with a minimum number of customers to be carried to operate a tour. If the tour is cancelled due to lack of interest, we would offer you an alternative tour, or a full refund. Occasionally we may reduce the price of a tour and it is at the discretion of Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd management team if refunds are applicable.

If "you" change your booking

If you wish to amend or change your booking with us, a charge of £20 per booking will be made to cover administration costs. This is only possible up until the balance due date, after this date it will be treated as a cancellation and charges will apply as per our cancellation scale.

If "we" change your booking

This brochure was put together some months before publication, and, in the unlikely event we have to change a hotel or holiday dates, You may decide to

  1. Continue with your amended holiday
  2. accept the alternative holiday we will offer
  3. cancel your booking with a full refund issued

No Smoking Policy

It is now illegal to smoke within confined space and therefore, smoking is not permitted on board our coach. Frequent comfort stops are planned by your driver whilst on tour or travelling to and from holiday location/Day break destination so as not to inconvenience even the heaviest of smokers.

Luggage

We ask you to limit your case to one medium size case per person, so as not to cause problems with porterage, and total permitted weight on the coach.

DUE TO THE LIMITED AMOUNT OF LUGGAGE SPACE IN EACH COACH, COUPLED WITH EU REGULATIONS ON WEIGHT, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE CARRIAGE FOR BAGGAGE WE DEEM OVERSIZED. THE MAXIMUM SIZE CASE WE WILL CARRY IS 66CM (26") LONG BY 51CM (20") HIGH WITH A MAXIMUM WEIGHT OF 20KGS. YOUR BAGGAGE MAY BE LEFT BEHIND IF YOU EXCEED THESE LIMITS. Overnight hotel bags will be carried in the hold, not the coach until arrival at our hotel. Main luggage will be stowed in the hold of the coach, which in tail will be kept locked. Only hand luggage will be acceptable in the cabin of the coach and must be secure and not to block gangways. Overhead lockers/space are on all our coaches. The carriage of bottles, breakable and Duty Free goods is the sole responsibility of the customer. It’s the customer’s responsibility to make sure when purchasing Duty Free that they comply with current UK laws when re-entering the country.

On board Seat allocation

Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd We operate a no seat reservation policy on our Day Breaks. We like to offer the opportunity for you to sit where you wish on board. Reservation of a seat can be booked in advance should you require certain area of the coach or have disabilities. Please inform at time of booking of any disabilities. Our Holidays and Short Breaks seat allocation will be offered.

Coach fleet

Due to operating circumstances in some instances it is necessary for us to hire in vehicles that do not have our livery and have different seating arrangements. Therefore we offer no guarantees that your seat position will not alter. Seating configurations may differ in vehicles and the position of your actual seat number may change from your original allocated seat position.

Personal belongings

Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd are not responsible for any items left unattended on the racks or seating area of the coach. You may not at any time bring pets, or play your own cassettes, radios or CD’s on the coach. Valuables on our holidays should be kept in hotel safe.

Customer Care

At Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd, we aim to provide you with the best holiday possible, should any problem occur, you MUST inform your driver first, so we can resolve the problem without delay.

Our right or refusal

Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd reserve the total right to refuse a booking or terminate a passengers holiday or day excursion in the event of unreasonable conduct, which we feel is likely to cause distress, damage, danger or annoyance to other customers, employees, property. If your holiday is terminated for the reasons outlined, Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd responsibility and liability for your holiday terminates at that point. Full cancellation charges will be applied and Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd are under no obligation whatsoever for any refund, compensation or loss you suffer.

Unforeseen circumstances

Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd will not be liable for unforeseen circumstances. No refunds will be given in circumstances such as breakdowns, traffic delays and extreme weather conditions that may delay or curtail excursions and approximate arrival times. We will do our very best to avoid, and address such situations. Excursion or day tours may change or alter. Our staff will always advise of such situations.

Charges of cancellations. Holidays

Sliding scale of charges applies to any booked, confirmed and paid Short Break of Holiday.

Prior to 42 days before departure Deposit only
29 to 42 days before departure 30% of holiday cost (or deposit, whichever is greater)
15 to 28 days before departure 45% of holiday cost (or deposit, whichever is greater)
8 to 14 days before departure 80% of holiday cost
1 to 7 days before departure 100% of holiday cost
Departure date or after 100% of holiday cost

Cancellation of Day Breaks

Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd, reserve the right to cancel a Day Break Tour due to lack of interest/bookings up to 24 hours prior to departure. We will strive to advertise and promote every day break to succeed with the tour departing

Cancellation of Day Breaks by the customer

Due to the nature of pre arranging and paying for entry tickets, theatre tickets in advance on our Day Breaks, unfortunately we will be unable to offer a refund on ANY day break should a customer wish to cancel. Full discretion by our management team will be considered if our customer is ill and unable to travel. Proof maybe required on that occasion for a credit or transfer to another Day Break Tour.

Travel Insurance for Holidays and Short Breaks.

Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd, we operate a scheme for selling Holiday Insurance in conjunction with Holiday Extras, who specialise in coach holidays. We advise all customers that Travel Insurance is not compulsory. We offer peace of mind and very competitive rates. At time of booking with us we will need to know as per our terms of travel your insurance details, if you have any. Should you not wish to travel with no insurance Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd will not be held responsible for any injury or situation that will need you to claim, unless falls within line of our own terms and conditions.

Separate Travel Insurance Policies and information is available at time of booking.

Holidays travelling in the EU, your E111 certificate will suffice for any medical needs. We advise that any medical documentation, prescriptions or medical conditions notices/forms we suggest that these are with you during your travel.

Passports and other documentation

For any Day Break or Holiday with travel into Europe a VALID British Passport will be required with at least a minimum 6 months validity upon our return. Non British/EU passport holders will be required to travel with a valid permit.

UK Day Breaks and holidays offer customers (where applicable) free time at location. UK bus network will accept Senior Citizen Freedom Concessionary passes enabling you to travel on local buses.

Errors and Omissions

Bayliss Executive Travel (Day Breaks & Holidays) Ltd make every effort to ensure that all details are correct at the time of publication. We cannot be held responsible for any errors in this brochure or alterations made by third parties, to holidays.
