The Black Forest is a mountainous region in southwest Germany. Known for its dense evergreen forests and picturesque villages, it is often associated with the Brothers Grimm fairy tales. This area is renowned for its spas and beautiful cuckoo clocks which have been produced in the region since the 1700s. Close to the small town of Bad Durrheim, is the Waldeck Spa Hotel, where we can relax and enjoy the breath-taking scenery of this magnificent region. Our tour includes two scenic train journeys, a boat trip on Lake Titisee and a guided visit to the Black Forest Museum.
Travel
Your comfort is our priority and all travel arrangements have been made with this in mind. Comfort stops will always be planned en route for lunch/refreshments. We will arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon, where your luggage will be taken to your room (unless otherwise specified) and you will have plenty of time to freshen up before the evening meal. Return travel will follow a similar schedule.
Your Overnight Hotel: Novotel Saint Avold, St Avold
Novotel Saint Avold is near the Saint-Avold forest, 2 km from the city centre and a 5-minute drive from the business district. It offers free Wi-Fi, an outdoor seasonal swimming pool and a terrace. The air-conditioned rooms are spacious and feature a flat-screen TV and a minibar. They also include a private bathroom with a hairdryer and a bath or shower. The Novotel Café serves modern and tasty cuisine and the terrace looks out onto the gardens of the hotel.
Your Main Hotel: Waldeck Spa Kur & Wellness, Bad Durrheim
Set in the Black Forest, this relaxed spa resort offers unfussy rooms featuring balconies, and provides Wi-Fi, TVs and safes. Some have sitting areas and/or garden views. Suites and apartments have living rooms. Other amenities include a garden to relax in and explore, an indoor pool, a spa with sauna and a gym. A wellness centre offers medical advice, therapies and health programs.

Excursions
All of our excursions are included in the holiday price unless otherwise specified. In addition to the planned activities, most excursions will allow plenty of free time for you to explore our well-chosen destinations. If you prefer to make other arrangements or just relax at the hotel instead of any of the excursions, you are welcome to do so. If so, we kindly ask you to please inform your driver. We will depart after breakfast and return in the late afternoon or early evening, to enable you to freshen up before your evening meal.
