Itinerary and What's Included
Day 1 - Departure
Welcome on board, on one of our executive coaches relax and travel in comfort. Please familiarise yourself with the coach, your driver will assist you with any queries during your holidays. We leave Kent in the morning and head to Eurotunnel for our crossing to France. Once in Europe we head to our overnight hotel just over the French border in Germany. Your driver will make comfort stops en route to gain refreshments and chance to stretch your legs. We arrive our overnight hotel late afternoon. A welcome glass of orange juice greets us once checked in. Bottle of water in each room and free use of hotel pool. Evening meal consists of 3 course set menu.
Your main stay hotel: Neue Post Hotel, Mayrhofen
There is no better base from which to discover this lively town than the 4 star family-run Neue Post Hotel, situated in the heart of Mayrhofen. The hotel is elegant and stylish, guests will feel at home in the convivial surroundings of the traditional public areas, beautifully decorated in a cosy, Tyrolean style.
Various lounges and bar within the hotel, of which all have an excellent atmosphere. The restaurant is large and well-appointed in the same style.
All 100 bedrooms are traditionally decorated and have hairdryer and TV. The hotel has an outstanding indoor swimming pool and relaxation complex as well as a lovely roof terrace. All single room occupants in this hotel are double rooms with sole use. Evening entertainment will be provided. All times and details of events will be displayed in reception.

Day 2 - Depart for Austria
After breakfast we re-join our coach for our journey to Austria. Our driver will stop for regular comfort stops to gain refreshments. We arrive our main stay hotel. Your bags will be taken to your room whilst we check in. Plenty of time to refresh in time for your evening meal. Please see notes below.
Day 3 - Schloss Tratzberg & Lake Achen
Today, we will visit Tratzberg Castle, which was built as an imperial hunting lodge in 1500 and is one of Austria’s architectural gems. Emperors, knights and other former owners of the castle will ‘personally’ lead us through the ornate Habsburg Hall with its stunning paintings, the Renaissance rooms, originally furnished gothic chambers and the chapel … with the help of a fascinating audio guided tour. A knight in shining armour will bid us farewell in the Armoury but we are free to wander through the arcaded courtyard and enjoy the stunning hilltop views high above the Inntal Valley and enjoy lunch in the Castle Inn before boarding the oldest steam cog railway in Europe, Achenseebahn, to the shores of Lake Achen where we can enjoy an Achensee boat cruise to complete today’s itinerary!
Day 4 - Mayrhofen
Today we spend the day relaxing in our beautiful resort, enjoying the stunning surroundings framed by the majestic Zillertaler Alps. The pretty town boasts a selection of traditional rustic bars, which, in the summer months host folk’s festivals, or simply just relax by the hotel pool.
Day 5 - Tyrolean Capital of Innsbruck
Today, we visit the Tyrolean capital city of Innsbruck and see the famous, ornate 15th Century “Golden Roof” designed as a Royal Box for the Emperor to sit in state above the square below. We can then explore the Tyrolean Folk Art Museum, housed within a Franciscan monastery and arcaded Renaissance courtyard. Traditional costumes, ancient household items, glass, pottery and textiles and folk art from across the Tyrol region are concentrated within the museum’s beautiful walls. Next door to the museum is the ornate, gothic, hofkirche in which the Emperor Maximillian 1 and Archduke Ferdinand are laid to rest. Plenty of time to explore at your own pace too.
Day 6 - Rattenberg
After a relaxing couple of days we offer our next excursion to the Smallest Town in the Austria: Rattenberg.This morning, we will make our way to the smallest town in Austria: Rattenberg. One of the Tyrol region’s most impressive museums, The Augustinian Museum, is located in this charming town and is certainly worth a visit before we enjoy a 1 hour guided walk through Rattenberg’s picturesque streets and hear stories about its medieval past. We can also enjoy shopping for traditional Tyrolean glass and traditional arts and crafts in the many quaint boutiques, enjoy a leisurely lunch in one of several highly commended traditional ‘coffee and cake’ shops or the elegantly Austrian Gasthof Platzbräu before returning to our hotel.
Day 7 - Departure of Austria
After breakfast we bid farewell to Austria and start our journey home. Please remember that you will require again your overnight luggage at our hotel stop in Germany. En route to Germany your driver will offer regular comfort stops, to gain lunch and refreshments. Once again, our overnight stop will be the same hotel. We arrive late afternoon at the Mercure Hotel, Saarbruken SUd, Germany. A welcome glass of fresh fruit juice will greet us on arrival. Plenty of time to refresh, settle in before your 3 course evening meal.
Day 8 - Departure homeward bound
After a fantastic holiday and fond memories we make our last leg to Kent. After breakfast we check out for our journey to Eurotunnel. Your driver will offer comfort stops en route to gain lunch refreshments. We arrive Eurotunnel late afternoon. Schedules permitting we will arrive Kent early evening local time.

During your main stay you get free use of indoor pool, steam room and Gym. Breakfast is cold buffet. Dinner 3 course menu fixed starter and dessert. Choice of main menu including vegetarian option. If you require any dietary requests please inform at time of booking. Entertainment provide most nights. Please see notices in reception area with regards to times and dates.
Tea and coffee at dinner. Tables of 2, 4, and 6 in main restaurant.
Farewell drink and porterage included on departure day.
