Harrogate is a Victorian Spa Town close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and nearby to the medieval city of Ripon, described as an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is much to see and do including the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms, no trip to Harrogate is complete without a visit here. Other popular sights include the Royal Pump Room, the Grade II listed Royal Hall and the Montpellier Quarter with its historic 19th-century buildings
Your comfort is our priority and all travel arrangements have been made with this in mind. Comfort stops will always be planned en route for lunch/refreshments. We will arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon, where your luggage will be taken to your room (unless otherwise specified) and you will have plenty of time to freshen up before the evening meal. Return travel will follow a similar schedule.
Your Hotel: The Old Swan, Harrogate
Surrounded by picturesque lawns and gardens, The Old Swan was once the
famous retreat of Agatha Christie. Originally an 18th-century coaching inn, it
now features rooms with tea and coffee-making facilities, a TV and trouser
press. The Old Swan was home to Agatha
Christie during her disappearance in 1926, and has since been used as a film
set for the 1979 film, Agatha. Just a short walk from Harrogate town centre,
the building is 5 minutes’ walk from the famous Betty’s Tearoom and 15 minutes
from Harrogate Railway Station

In addition to the planned activities, most excursions will allow plenty of free time for you to explore our well-chosen destinations. If you prefer to make other arrangements or just relax at the hotel instead of any of the excursions, you are welcome to do so. If so, we kindly ask you to please inform your driver. We will depart after breakfast and return in the late afternoon or early evening, to enable you to freshen up before your evening meal.
