A midweek tour taking in no less than four counties. From delightful Derbyshire, stunning Staffordshire and lovely Leicestershire, excursions are as varied as the name suggests. Including a historical narrow boat ride through the beautiful Derwent Valley. As well as a visit to the National Memorial Arboretum, one of the most popular of the Millennium projects. Covering 150 acres, this special site honours those who served and continue to serve our nation in many different ways. Just a couple of things we pack into our tour…
Travel
Your comfort is our priority and all travel arrangements have been made with this in mind. Comfort stops will always be planned en route for lunch/refreshments. We will arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon, where your luggage will be taken to your room (unless otherwise specified) and you will have plenty of time to freshen up before the evening meal. Return travel will follow a similar schedule.
Your Hotel: Nottingham Belfry Hotel 'Delta by Marriot', Nottingham
The Nottingham Belfry hotel is just 15 minutes’ drive from the city centre. Each room has a flat-screen TV with Freeview channels and Wi-Fi. They all also feature a walk-in shower and tea/coffee making facilities. The on-site leisure club and spa is free to use. The hotel’s beautiful restaurant, The Lawrence, and its Oaks bar and lounge serve simple or refined dishes. A full English breakfast is served every morning.

Excursions
All of our excursions are included in the holiday price unless otherwise specified. In addition to the planned activities, most excursions will allow plenty of free time for you to explore our well-chosen destinations. If you prefer to make other arrangements or just relax at the hotel instead of any of the excursions, you are welcome to do so. If so, we kindly ask you to please inform your driver. We will depart after breakfast and return in the late afternoon or early evening, to enable you to freshen up before your evening meal.
